Challenge

To design an environment to welcome guests to the wine country. Hilton Garden Inn is an 80-unit hotel located in the heart of Napa valley. The client wanted an elegant, yet relaxing ambiance for guests to enjoy after their tours of the Napa area.

Solution

I began by selecting a rich and sophisticated color scheme to harmonize with the vineyards and Napa valley. I chose the pewter tones and enhanced those with subtle gem shades: reds, blues and oranges. I custom designed drapery fabric panels, suggesting the hills and vineyards of Napa. And I created custom 3-dimensional art made with copper and wood to simulate grape branches.
